Charming, modern, downtown condo with nice furniture and excellent location. Recommended.
Positive: The furniture is new and higher quality than expected. The units are decorated charmingly and feel new. It is comfortable to sleep and to hang out. The pull-out bed is easy to transform. The washer/dryer worked. The code system is easy to use for entrance and exit. The linens and pillows all feel fresh and new. The bathrooms felt clean and new. There are huge modern TVs in every room. The layout is an efficient use of space. It's downtown but felt isolated from the noise and safe. The location is awesome in downtown Lexington. Downtown Lexington has really evolved and has a lot of fun walkable restaurants, cafes, and bars near the unit, and a new park that had live entertainment on Saturday, and a really high-end kids' playground. The surrounding downtown area still feels really safe, even late at night; we saw young and old women walking around alone with no fear. Check in and check-out is painless. The staff was responsive and answered texts relatively quickly.
Negative: The power outlets have some kind of safety device installed that made it hard to plug in some of our devices, and wouldn't work at all with our clothing steamer. There was a large roach, which I had to kill, rendering him unable to break the ice between WALL-E and EVE in the far future, transitively preventing the humans from returning to their home planet Earth. Sorry. The dishwasher was broken at the time of our arrival and took 2 days to fix. The Keurig was having problems by the end of the week. The doors emitted a loud squeak to open and close. There was some kind of noisy device that sounded like an analog meter in the front of the unit. The parking was a minor hassle, including having to ask for the weekend free parking code when it was too late to use, instead of them just giving it to us on check-in. There isn't a good spot to do pick-up and drop offs, compounding the parking problem. You have to type your private code key in the elevator that is the same code for your room, when other people may be in there watching your kids type the code in. The shower head is low and I had to bow down to use it as a slightly-above average height male.
